Naturally us humans really want organisation and calm in our lives, yet no matter what we do it seems like an impossible task.
Since I have had the baby and stopped working I seem to give the appearance of calm and collected but in reality my head is chaos, my brain is in a constant state of turmoil.
Leading into 2016 I want that to change, I would love to start the the year more organised. I want to increase my productivity within my home life and actually learn to relax and switch off and enjoy the little things in life that are often incredibly important and severely overlooked.
I came across a blog by a fellow UKPA’er which instantly got my attention purely by it’s name How To Get Your Shit Together or in short How to GYST.
So I started reading the posts and while not all apply to my situation they are all great reads. So many of the posts I can relate too from finding positivity and generally just decluttering and sorting out life.
I was lucky enough to win a Giveaway on the site which included many pretty Stationery items but a book which I had looked at a fair few times but wasn’t sure if it would be just another one of those flash-in-the-pan advice books that are really not that good.
I hadn’t even had the book more than 24 hours and I had decluttered my wardrobe throwing out all my old clothes and sorted my entire kitchen out. I haven’t had as much time as I would like to sit and read but I’m half way through Chapter 1. The book is full of practical tips, advice of changing habits for the better, quotes and inspiration.
I cannot wait to get stuck into it properly (blame my Harry Potter problem I’m currently on book 5 of 7 although right at the end).
Laura who writes the blog is such a lovely person and from talking to her she really seems to want to inspire people and do it in a real way.
Please check out her blog it is brilliant 🙂
